I don't know about that - all I know is who he is and the name of the stable - hint - he's originally from Ky

| His daughter did her student teaching at my school before I retired. She now has a class of her own. She is also friends with my son. I think they had some classes at MTSU together. | |

| I thought Wayne was from the Boro, as well. Let me correct my previous post. Sammy is not in Jawga...it's Florida, what area I don't know. He is not at a Saddlebred farm (this was circulating a few wks back)..but selling fishing tackle. | |

| Sammy is out of the hoss training biz?
I think what Bubbadog is saying is that this trainer is training walking hosses at a stable that used to be a saddlebred training facility.

| If anybody sees Wayne, please tell him that I have several years worth of Saddle & Bridle from the 1990's waiting for him in my garage. H.D. Givens was supposed to give him the message, but I haven't heard from either of them about it. | |

| Okay - sorry I've been so slow posting this answer - don't have access to computer at home presently. It is Allen Foreman who is at Seymour Stables in Thompson Ga. Anyone familiar with Allen or the former occupants of the barn? | |

| I've known Allen for years...first at Bill Davis's (Brad Davis dad) place in Chocolocca (sp) near Anniston, AL, then at Dr Boshell's (Bo-Mar) farm in Birmingham by Lake Purdy. Allen started Pushover filly for me when he initially went over to Thomson, GA where he is now...but do not know the history of the barn at all.
Jack Pirkle might know more about the history of the barn...

| What I know - (not much) Seymour Stables was built by the Knox family from Thompson - in the 60's and 70's Nancy Knox (daughter) showed some highly competetive saddlebreds from this barn. I believe that Billy Franks trained there at that time. I have known Allen since about 1980 when he first came to Middle Tennessee, he worked my old Design horse for me at Wallace's with Kirby and had a couple of other horses for Ted and me when he was over here in Northeast Ga at Jerry Brown's and at Bill Davis in Ala. I haven't seen him in a hundred years. | |

| Bubbadog, Sounds like we should have known each other somehow...I know Allen is originally from KY, but do not remember where in KY. Perhaps someone else on here has that information...
I talked with Allen at the Southern Championships/Perry, GA in 08...but haven't really seen him since. Allen was a good colt guy, nice hands and brings them along slowly the way I like.

| I knew Allen when he trained in Ky. Can't remember exactly where he trained here, but do remember him showing a nice bay 15.2 horse. I honestly didn't know he was from Ky. I just returned a book about Saddlebred history to the library that had a horse and rider photo from Georgia from the early days. Can't remember who it was now, darn! | |
