I don't know, but did you notice that the McConnells hadn't started training yet & were paying to have it done. (ref p 19)

What are you talking about, SB? It clearly states "the three McConnells are working 28 head". There are plenty of other references to their training in the article. This article must have been written in 1970. That's when Copy's Coquet was three. Mrs. Lenox said that she had never heard of the McConnells when they bought Copy's Coquet & Copy's Deacon at the 1968 GLL yearling sale.

The Cashion Farms dispersal was considered one of the greatest sales in WH history. Eddie Bryant told me that it was the best sale he ever worked. It was even advertised in the Wall Street Journal.

I knew all of Amie Boyd Marks's kids have shown, but never realized that she had shown! I see that it was a road pony. Guess her son, Boyd, still shows/trains American Saddlebreds??? Dan's Go Boy, a TWH (70's) ridden by her son, Woody, was a great one. Dan's Go Boy was started by Dan Turney, I believe. Does anyone know what became of Dan and his daughter, Beth Turney?

The only show horse to ever grace the cover of Sports Illustrated. Note: I would love to see a TWH WGC of this same color!

Wish some of those AL folks were still in the biz...all 3 of the Daugette kids had great horses, I was so envious and in awe of them back then. I think they still come to the Celebration to present trophies, but haven't talked to them in long, long time.
