| Hill, I believe one of the men might be Carmage Walls, who owned many newspapers all over the country. The other could be Clifford Dean, a horse trainer from Alabama. The ad this photo came from is rather unclear and I was hoping perhaps MM or someone else could clarify a little. | |

| A rich family from Dallas, 3 of the younguns once showed horses at the Cel. That old gelding also won a few classes with 4 or 5 different riders. Seems like he had a mares name! | |

| That is Polly Stout. If that is the horse I think it is? She won the Broadway Show one year on him, about 72,73,74. I am pretty sure he was an Ebony horse. He could get gone in the runing walk. | |

| I do believe that is Clifford Dean on the left in the earlier posted picture...his son (also now deceased, whose name escapes me at the moment) raised Generator's Silver Dollar. They were from north-east AL near Ft Payne, I believe.
I am not sure of the other gentleman...

| Polly Stout is correct. The horse is Ebony's Challenger. I used to see her show at the Ohio Celebration every year, way back when it was a fairly big show held in Columbus at the fairgrounds. I believe she once trained horses for Sue Ann Dowell and her family.
MM, thanks for identifying Clifford Dean.

| I agree with S B that it is John Young. I don't know if John ever had Sun's Prospector that Harvey LaFevers used to show, but the hoss in the pic bears a strong resemblance to him. | |
