| Speaking of Judy Martin, she is one of the International judges, doing a GREAT job. She is fun to be around, and told me today she has three grandchildren. I believe there is a girl and a set of twins (a boy and a girl). She never ages. She looks the same as she did when we played high school basketball against each other. And I will bet she can still play, too!!!! What happened to me??????? | |

| I'm looking at today's Who Dat, and I notice the trophy being presented is HUGE. Dawgonnit, I never won a trophy that big. Did trophies start shrinking in the 70s & 80s??? The biggest I ever won was only maybe a foot tall or so, but it was a "double-decker" with little gold bald eagles on it. Last time I saw it, it was in a cardboard box in the storage shed out in the yard. Funny how those trophies lose their luster with time isn't it? It's kind of sad, but the BEST hardware I ever took home was from Saddlebred shows. Not only did they give out SILVER, but the prize money was usually better as I recall. I remember a little silver mug from a smaller show and a large casserole dish I won at The State Fair, just for taking RESERVE. I really need to dig those out and polish them up. They MIGHT be worth something? What's the biggest/best/most unusual STUFF you've ever won? | |

| I won a giant martini glass from the Lynchburg show. It is really strange looking and a total fail. There is a horse wrapped around the base of it. Beyond being odd looking, how strange is it that a horse show in a dry county gives out giant liquor glasses as prizes? Just odd, but a win is a win!!! :joker: | |

| I'm gonna guess Ebony's Nonmonotonous. It may not be the longest, but it's one of the most difficult to say | |

| It is real, though I cannot remember who showed Nonmonotanous (sp). Mayne the Nichols ended up with him. Curb, do you remember more about him? | |

| Ebony's Nonmonotonous was the real name of a real hoss. He was a nice gelding and won a goodly number of classes. I knew him from working for Don Milligan. Duck won a class with him at the Celebration, I think it was the 4 yr old geldings. He was at Circle P down in Thatch, but got moved around and I just lost track of him. I don't know where he wound up, but that name made him unforgetable. | |

| I think TWHBEA allows a maximum of 18 characters (letters/numbers, etc.) in a horse's name | |

| Here's the answer, according to the Walker's West site:
"Allens Little Joe's Dimple. This name will continue to be the longest name since the new IPEDS has decreased the maximum allowable length of a name by one character. Allens Little Joe's Dimple can only be displayed in IPEDS now as Allens Little Joe's Dimpl."

| That's right! Ole Claude must have been quite a character. I came along too late to ever see or meet him, but he is legendary up here in the Bluegrass and many interesting tales have been told about him. I once boarded a horse at the old Claude Brown stables and it piqued my interest in him. Bob McQuerry was training for Claude when he had those horses, so he might know the origin of their names. I'd love to have heard a horse show announcer tackle the name "Triple Lasso" !!! | |

| If you were an announcer you better make sure you put emphasis on seperating the 2 words, LOL.But if I were announcing I slur them together .LOL | |

| Sowega,
Jump on in here and tell us what you know about Hill's Perfection. We already know quite a bit, and one of our members is his former owner (Hill)........but we probably know very little about his time out West. I am guessing you may know something the rest of us don't........and that's GREAT! That's what the board is all about.....One thing leads to another, and before you know it..........we've uncovered some very interesting buried treasure.
