| Rising Star was one of the best horses i've ever seen and it wasn't a one time thing. I saw about every show he ever made and he was good everytime I saw him. | |

| OHM, I was looking back at that picture of Ramsey and Rising Star and I have to say that I had forgotten just how balanced he looks sitting on a horse. I love how he sat so far back in the seat of the saddle that he had LONG reins. | |

| I know, trainers always used to sit at the back of the saddle (and the saddles themselves were farther back on the horses I swear)...... Now look at em, they are all bunched up hanging over the horses shoulders and necks. | |

| JT Leech used to go crazy over the way people were sitting their horses. He used to say that you needed to put your weight on the back end of the horse to help them get their front legs up. If you have an extra 100-200 lbs on their shoulders, the horse is using too much energy to carry the rider instead of having a good front end.

| Just think how good some of these horses today would look if their riders would sit up and back in the saddle . | |
