PostSubject: Georgia,South Carolina & Florida Memories   Mon Aug 01, 2011 7:33 am

I have started this thread for these states because they also are very deserving of their own topic. I've combined the two states here, since they are neighbors, very similar and for other "ease of use" reasons. Alabama is also deserving of their own topic, but I feel we must have more members from that state before starting another topic.
I have found the folks from both Georgia and South Carolina to be among the friendliest anywhere. When the great naturalist, John Muir hiked from Louisville, Ky to Cedar Key, Florida on foot, he stayed in many folks houses along the way. He stated in his journal that the Georgia folks were the most hospitable and friendliest of all the folks he met along the way. These folks make up a big portion of our membership here. (You hear that Tennessee & Kentucky?) and I'm glad to devote a portion of this board to their memories.

Notice that Boyd showed Man of Rhythm twice - won the stud and gelding class (remember them) and then whupped up on them in the stake. That was a tough team.
Landrum and I are about the same age - I'm probably a teeny bit older - I'm older thsn most everybody.
