| Sorry. Didn't even notice it was your post. Thought it came as a tag line from the paper or publicist. | |

| I always appreciate anyone catching mistakes and correcting me, no matter how small the error. I like for the trivia to be accurate! | |

| Ah!.....I found it. Here's Jarman astride the great MERRY GO BOY with Winston Wiser's sons on each side. This one was contributed by Sadlbum a few years back, and it's a good one! | |

| Claude Jarman's son played basketball for Clemson. Also note the bad scar on MGB's right front foot. He got that when he stuck his leg through a plate glass window. | |

| After MGB was retired he was standing at stud in Va. The owner put in a plate glass window so visitors could see him in his stall. One day he stuck his leg through the glass window and sustained very serious injuries and was unable to breed for a while. Not long after he was sold and moved back to tn. | |

| I think that is the yr. that they didn't pull David in for the good workout. They made him work the 2nd. workout until almost the end and pulled him in just in time for the good workout to start.Back then they worked the heck out of them anyway so he was already super tired. The whole 2nd. workout the crowd was going crazy hollerin for David and ol' Big Man they finally pulled him in and then put him right back on the rail for the good workout. They made an amazing show and I believe they finally tied about 10th.I would have liked to have seen Marvin show Big Man in the Big Stake,he was that good !! | |

| Sorry I've just been catching up...remembering Pop, and son, Gaines Luna. I never drive by the barn, later Ralph Hensley's place, without thinking of Gaines.
