| OHM...Thanks for posting the Baum's Llama site. They have some beautiful llamas and it appears they have been very successful with them. I found all of it interesting!!
Bum was one of my all-time favorite horses...I can still see him entering the Celebration ring the year he won...He gave me chill bumps!!! I noticed in the above photo that it was taken in 1973...that was the year he won the WGC. He was only shown 3 times that year; twice at the Celebration and somewhere else (I don't know where??) early in the season. He had a slight injury and was not shown the bulk of that season. Following his Celebration win he was taken to Montgomery and retired in a formal ceremony. At first I thought this might be his retirement ceremony but I don't believe that is the Montgomery show ring. From what I can remember Montgomery always had that striped "banner" that went around the inside railing plus it was a little higher off the ground. Where do you think this was and what does that writing on the railing say? It must have been the show he made early in 1973?? | |

| Hill, With regards to the above photo of Billy Gray. The sign on the rail says 1972. I think Billy showed Bum in in 1973 in the smooth leather dog collars style boots | |
