Paschal may have trained there as well. Now, let's see if I can get this correct? Yes, I'm sure it's "Braxton" if Carlton trained there. The barn (red) is still there and it joins the NOW "Tamarack" property...the barn Dr. Sexton built. Braxton is now an Angus Farm and called Thorn???. I don't think Donald ever trained at Braxton...but Carlton was there before building his own barn. Bobby Fann, also trained at Braxton..and so did some others, I can't recall. Carlton's last barn, is now owned by the Wimberleys, who own and train spotted horses. HIGH CHAP...The FIRST barn Donald was in VERY OLD, is still standing. The new barn he later built, and the one I'm sure your referring to, is not. I was told, Mildred had it torn down after Donalds death...then she built a new smaller barn across the road. To my knowledge nobody has ever been in this barn. This barn's on Hwy 70, close to an elementary school. I'll try to get the schools name. | |
