| Loved the nice white look of the boots back in the day. A 6-once leather boot has to be better than a 6 ounce chain. Just my opinion. | |

| Them boots might have looked pretty but they sure were a pain. They tore the ankles up, they'd get stuck down on the foot, they really just didn't work when the horses started doing. After those boots came the heavy white dog collars, they were kinda like an epilator, take the hair right off. | |

| He wasn't one of my favorites, he was my favorite, hands down. I don't believe I will ever see his equal in this lifetime. | |

| Hard to argue. He was darn near flawless. I think the best I ever saw him was in Decatur, Alabama at the Trainer's Show. If anybody out there was there that night, then you know what I'm talkin about..... | |

| I've always wondered how many good horses he could have sired had he lived longer. In just the few seasons he was bred, I can think of many successful and long lived show horses came from those crops. Even though Ultra Threat was a pretty good sire, I think he was a distant second compared to his brother. | |

| Nebama.....................It was unreal wasn't it??? He was showing the entire bottom of his hoof and doing it quite easily. That is without doubt, the most I have ever seen a TWH do........and I believe he was only 3 years old at the time.
I have seen Mtn Man and The Pusher do just about as much though. A hard thing to measure.... | |

| I was fortunate enough to have been living in Tennessee at the time that Billy had Secret in Lewisburg. Got to watch him work him often. Standing in the barn watching that horse come up that hallway would give me cold chills. To me he was the ultimate package. He was as beautiful as he was talented. I was married to Charlie Moore who was stallion manager at Sand Creek at the time of Secret's death. What an awful time that was. He would have had quite a future. | |

| Hey Sheila - no - I had knee surgery the same time he died and I was laid up but it was pretty big. It was pretty traumatic for everyone. It happened so suddenly. | |

| What happened to Emmy Downs? Is she still in the horse business? She was always very nice...loved her horses!! I remember her from the Ky horse shows and she would come by and see us at the Celebration and I believe Montgomery too. Didn't she have horses with Mack Motes at one time as well? | |

| Kim Mac trained Emmy's horses for years. She owned the Super Sport among others. | |

| According to what I've read; Bill Sledge, Steve Hill and a Ky trainer named Billy Ray Parrish also trained The Super Sport for Emmy Downs. I never saw her show that I remember, but I did see The Super Sport carry the flag at a show up here one year. He was pretty old at that time, but still had a lot of walk. I'm sure the Bowling Green crowd remembers him well; he stood at stud down there for quite a few years at Drake's Creek Stables.
