I loved Harlinsdale Farms, haven't been to where they moved yet.I think the world of Mr. Bill Harlin .

Dr. Hill is a wonderful gentleman. I had the honor of watching him ride on his 92nd birthday in Perry, GA last year. I waited in line to shake his hand and wish him a happy birthday. I do so admire him and got to tell him so.

Betty Sain & Shaker's Shocker

Betty's brother, Parker Sain, passed away a few wks ago. I didn't know this until a couple days ago.

Herschel Talley

One of the best trainers outside of Tennessee was Herschel Talley of Baileyton, Alabama. Below are some excellent photos of him and his horses. His daughter Priscilla has many more fantastic photos on her "Horse Show in Heaven" memorial Facebook page. Check them out here:

Star of The Yearling and Nashville native, Claude Jarman Jr. poses with Queen Sue Morrisson and Francis The Talking Mule at the 1950 Columbia Mule Days. Jarman was Grand Marshall of the Mule Day Parade.

The correct spelling of his name is Jarman.

Thanks for catching my mistake, Sowega. Easy to do at 7:30 on a Sunday morning! I will correct it.
Incidentally, there is another photo on here somewhere of Jarman sitting on Merry Go Boy with a couple of the Wiser boys standing beside him. Not sure exactly where it is, but probably in the Archive somewhere.
