I like this picture of T-Bird. I've never cared for the pictures that were touched up...I'll go for unretouched with a few imperfections any day. Today they can do so much more than what they did back during "my time"...the technology has vastly improved; a good amateur photographer can almost get advertise worthy photos if they have decent timing and PhotoShop! Back to this photo though...there are a few things that made me question if it was totally unretouched?? I know the feet and legs look pretty much natural; but something about the ground looks slightly off and I wonder why T-Bird doesn't have a shadow and there is something in front of him that does? That shadow going forward of him doesn't look like his shadow...it looks almost like a camera or lights on a stand or possibly a tree?? What do you think?

The photo looks natural to me. It does say "unretouched" on it, but one never knows for sure. Advances in technology do make a lot of us amateur photographers look much better, but I don't believe there will never be a replacement for a photographer with a good eye, good timing and that "sixth sense" of what makes a photo a good one.

I have the Voice with that picture on the cover and I believe it is all natural. He does have a shadow but the sun is probably behind him which throws the shadow forward.

I agree..T-Bird himself looks unretouched and I think it is a great picture of him. Like I said; I love a unretouched picture. I'm just having a tough time with that shadow...I considered the fact that the sun was behind him throwing the shadow forward; but what I was saying is that the shadow does not look like a horse?? It looks like a camera on a tripod...or possibly lights on a stand; it just doesn't look like a horse and rider to me. I know nit-picking over a great picture...furthermore..I don't have any idea what made me notice that?? Not normally something I would see??

I've seen this horse shown many times on the Ky circuit in his latter years and he was always exciting and well-ridden by Mr. Lovett.
