| Yes, the Winston Wiser/Jack Montgomery barn is still there. There are horses around it. Again, I don't know who or what kind of horses.
I know that Sen61 and OHM know a lot more about these places than I do. Help me out here, girls!!!! | |

| TRIVIA QUIZ #1 Note: Some of you may remember the old Flash Trivia Games I used to put on the WHT Blog about 3 years ago. They were very popular, but we had only a handful of members at that time. I am bringing them back so our newer users can play them. I haven't made any new ones yet, but I eventually will. In the meantime, I am re-posting them for our newer users: Here's Trivia Quiz #1: http://www.makemeagame.com/games/?i=246 | |

| The old Jack Montgomery barn is owned by the Schweppe's...not sure if it's now a training barn or just boarders.
Coy Claxton is still among us, but did have a barn fire a few yrs back.
Albert Lee's been deceased for many yrs.
Bud Seaton, as Graymare stated, still rides the Celebration flag horse and also sells real estate.

| I was watching a movie the other night and heard Tennessee Stud by Johnny Cash as part of the soundtrack for this movie. What movie was I watching? (This was not an old movie...) | |

| Was it "Jacke Brown"? I'm a fan of Tarantino's movies but I am just as much a fan of his soundtracks. This is a great one! | |

| tc, you remember correctly. He had that habit of quitting and walking on his back legs when he got tired. Judy broke him of that habit by carrying a large handled whip into the ring and whacking him between the ears when he did that. Didn't take many times to cure him of that habit and he went on to win a World Championship (if I remember correctly). I asked Judy about that one night when I was working center ring and she was judging. She laughed about it. Most riders would have been scared to death when he did that, but she was (and probably still could be) an outstanding rider. | |

| TC & Old Graymare...quess you got it right...your answers jogged Cissy's brain and she said Shadow's Jet was correct. I too remember him walking on his hind legs at the Celebration and Judy whacking him over the between the ears. | |

| A Fancy Turnout Class is little harness pony's driven by little kids with the boy dressed up in a little tux and the little girl dressed in a fancy little girls ball type gown. Don't know if they still do them but most saddlebred shows had them years ago....they were a big crowd pleaser. | |

| They used to have them at the Celebration. I haven't seen one in many years. I think the girl's dress was so big that it covered the 4-wheeled fine-harness type buggy completely and they just put the girl into it when it was time for the class. It was a cute class and fancy indeed! | |

| Would anyone know where or how I could possibly find any old Celebration ribbons for sale. Might be the wrong place to post this but would like to know if anyone has any for sale or know where I could find some. I have a few Saddlebred ribbons that was once owned by Dodge Stables but I have never seen any Walking Horse ribbons or trophies for sale on eBay or anywhere else. Thanks | |

| Apparently, the history of Fancy Turnout goes back even further than the 50's. Here's a photo taken in 1890 at the Alexandria, Kentucky Fair & Horse Show: | |

| Here's one from Lawrenceburg, Ky in 1972. Notice the extra decor with a butterfly theme. Some of you Ky folk may recognize the girl presenting the ribbon. That's Dana Dadisman from Lawrenceburg, who used to show TWH's back in the day. She showed a great horse called "Shadow's Big Mack". Thanks go out to Dana for allowing me to borrow this photo. | |
