| Seems like I remember Everett talking about Paul training on the Florida Circuit. Maybe someone else will know more.

| Good picture of Sam and Betty Yarborough. Mr. Sam was one of a kind. My parents were Friends of the Yarboroughs. I remember fondly Eating Sunday dinner at their house on the Murry Farm in Lewisburg. | |

| I love the photo of Moonglow & Vic. It's worthy of the Blue! I took the liberty of taking it into Photoshop and improving it a bit. Here's the result:

| Good job Smitty! I think that was the only time Vic showed Jr. Burt was not happy about it. | |

| When we bought Mr. Sensation Vic continued to show him (picking up those one night show checks) until we found out about it and put a stop to it. I wasn't too happy about it either. | |

| Did Vic keep the money he won with Mr. Sensation? He should have taken the money and applied it to the training fee. | |

| Many trainers kept the winnings in those days and even later up into the 70's and maybe beyond. All of my winnings (which didn't amount to much!) were kept by my trainer, who was and is still very respected. It was an acceptable practice. Prize money was generally never that great and most needed the extra money a lot more than the owners did. Very few ever got rich training horses. That's my 2¢.... | |

| Yes, Vic did keep the prize money won by his customers horses and he used every excuse he could to show the good ones. He is the only trainer I knew that did it. Of course we only used two or three trainers. C.A.Bobo always credlited any wlinnlings toward your tralining bill. Some of those winnings checks were substantial when adjusted for inflation. Vic won $500 for that win at the American Royal. That would be $5000 in U.S. dollars. Another questionable practice of the day was trainers who made an under table commission from the sellers when one of their customers bought a horse. | |

| Every stable/trainer where I've had horses kept the prize money. Customary to pay commission to both selling AND receiving trainers now. | |
