Those of us who have lost a spouse, parent or parents, a sibling or a child, know how you feel & what you are going through at this time. We express our deepest sympathy's & remorse to You, Dale & your Sister. As David said at the death of his child, It cannot return to me, but I can go to it. Keep up the faith Brother & Friend.

Mrs. Marian Daniels

DERMOTT — Marian Myer Daniels, age, 86, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Lake Village, Ark.

A longtime resident of Dermott, Ark., she was born June 2, 1923, to the late Jessie Hagood Myer and Charles Franklin Myer of McGehee, Ark.

She was a graduate of McGehee High School, class of 1941 and attended Harding University.

She was a lifetime homemaker, the first Miss Desha County Fair Queen at age 16, active in the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR), and a member of the Dermott Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Dr. David A. Daniels, wife Sandra Kay and their children, Jonathan, Morgan and Colleen of Brentwood, Tenn.; her daughter, Dinah Ayecock, husband Terry and their children Jessica Ayecock of Little Rock, Ark., and Jacob and Rebekah Ayecock of Tillar, Ark.; and her son Dale Daniels, wife Kim, and their daughter Audra of Chelsea, Ala.

Other survivors are her sister, Mrs. R.E. Burt and husband, Dr. R.E. Burt of Richardson, Texas and their family; brother Dr. Charles Franklin Myer Jr., and wife, Eva of Pensacola, Fla., and their family; and sister-in-law, Mrs. Robert Julius Daniels of Phoenix, Ariz., and her family.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harry David Daniels; and a son, Donald Lamar Daniels.

Pallbearers include Jacob Ayecock, Jonathan Daniels, Tom Grumbles, Phil Phillips, Bynum Gibson, Dr. Will Rumbavage, Ronnie Thomas, Dr. Al Thomas and Len Niven. Honorary pallbearers include Rusty Moss, Bart Bynum, Jesse Proffitt, Joseph Proffitt, Jonathan Proffitt, Bill Proffitt, James Hayward Head, Gerald Mercer, Jimmy Parkerson, Lephiew Dennington, Tom Spurlock Jr., Don Adams and Don Bulloch.

Funeral services are scheduled at Dermott Church of Christ at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009.

Visitations are scheduled on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Griffin Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m., in McGehee, Ark.

Memorials may be made to the Dermott Cemetery Association, the Dermott Church of Christ, or the charity of your choice.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Dermott City Nursing Home, Elite Ambulance Service, and Chicot Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Service of McGehee. www.griffinfuneralservice.net
