| Good guess Jean, but that's not it. This was a juvenile champion in '63, trained by a TN trainer who was training in Mississippi at the time. The girl riding was from Tampa, Florida. | |

| Did you ever see this horse, S69? If you did, describe him to us that missed him. The reason I ask is that the saddlebred man in me noticed his kinda wild eye and he looks like a show horse. | |

| Curb, I remember this horse as a pretty thing with a lot of "vim and vigor". I liked him. He was not a huge horse and I expected to hear a lot from him as he grew older. Actually, I don't remember anything at all about him past this Championship. Anybody know what happened? | |

| OGM, He was sold to Dr. James King of Tullahoma, Steve Beech owned him before that, and he was reserve Jr. WGC the next year, 64. Don't know what happened after that. | |

| Your right MIB,I kind of thought it was Starfire and should have known it was him.We went against Doug and Starfire alot when Buddy and Gunsmoke Son was coming up.They whipped us as 2yr. olds but we got them back as 3 yr.olds.Neither horse really did a whole lot after their 3 yr. old yr. Back then we tended to burn alot of those colts out young. | |
