Is that Fred Turner on Triple Threat? Think you might be right on #53, Bubbadog. Not sure about your guess for #54 though. I think MIB's answers for #55 & #56 are correct as well. Again, most of these were Sadlbum's photos that I saved from the previous board. They were not labeled.

| #58 looks a lot like Midnight Mack K. to me. I had a juvenile horse with Mack K. breeding that looked a whole lot like his grandaddy and shared his high-strung attitude too. He had nice ears and was a bit roman-nosed as well... | |

| #60 is a very old photo. Judging from the markings, it could be the Chief's Allen horse owned by Lem Motlow (?) | |

| Now that's what I call a TRIBUTE to a breed of horse and the people that helped it evolve. But, do you think that we can ever get Walking Horse people to work together to build something as impressive as that? Smitty, you never cease to amaze me. Thanks for your educational tours. | |

| Ditto Sowega - on the Smitty compliment and "do you ever think we can get Walking Horse people to work together" - it don't look good does it? | |

| Y'all are too kind! I don't really perform any kind of special magic, just pass along what's out there.
I hope those photos don't spoil anyone's future visit to the Museum. It really is MUCH better in person and the Horse Park has several other museums in addition to that one. If you live near I-75 or I-65, you can most likely be there in 6 hours or less and there's a whole lot of "horsey" stuff to do in the area. I plan on visiting the Ky Derby Museum this Fall and getting some more photos from there, if they allow it.
I'd like to make a couple of points about a MUSEUM and what makes up a good museum.
A good museum is normally only as good as the ARTIFACTS, PLANNING and INFORMATION that make up that museum.
The building, carpeting, walls, etc. do not necessarily have to be swanky or even top quality for that matter. The artifacts, information and planning cost NOTHING. They are usually donated or acquired by the museum itself. The most expensive areas of the ASB Museum, in my opinion, were the glass display cases, lighting and also some of the video displays, which were not shown in the photos. Some of the graphic signs and large graphic images on the walls could also run into some money, if well done. The point I'm getting at, is that with the right CREATIVE and INDUSTRIOUS PLANNING.............everything you saw in the ASB Museum really could be re-created on a similar quality scale and on a tight BUDGET if you had the RIGHT people involved. I don't expect the building or general look to be as nice in Wartrace, I'm just saying the displays can be every bit as good with nothing but good old-fashioned effort and brain power.

| Thank you for posting so many photos, especially of the "Saddlebreds and the Silver Screen," scheduled to be on exhibit for the rest of this year. I seriously doubt I'll get to see it in time.
Wow - so many pictures of Clark Gable and his horses! I recognized them from the press kit I received for my blog. The picture of the couple is of him and Carole Lombard.
