Ritz is such an amazing horse. The fans cheering for him is what walking horse shows are all about. I wish I was into horses back in 1999 when he won so I could have seen it in person, instead of videos because I'm sure they don't do him justice. Things are always better to see in person. I know he's getting pretty old now, but I wonder if he still has it?

Oh, I'd say he still has it. He may not be as good as he once was, but he's as good once as he ever was
He was undoubtedly the best 2 yr old I've ever seen. Nobody could ride him like Billy, not even Tim. I always though he was too nosed out with Sammy. Under different circumstances, I believe he could have won the Big Stake multiple times.

Your right, nobody could ride him like Billy. Shades of Carbon was a great 2 yr old with Joe Martin in the irons, went down hill after that.
