My son showed a flat shod mare at the International and got a 3rd and a 4th place. I was impressed with the quality of horses and the professional manner of SHOW. The crowd numbers were lower than I expected but they picked up quite a bit Saturday night.

I know Something's Smokin. One of Joe Lester's hosses. I think maybe half a dozen different folks showed her at the International. I think she won the bare back class.

Yep..She was shown by 4-5 different people over the course of the week.

Lane Webb showed Mr Pushbutton a few weeks ago - he must be a cool old horse.

I don't know Scott Beatty, but I think I've seen his barn in Byrdstown. We usually go down there every year or two and rent a cabin on Dale Hollow Lake, near Star Point Marina. (turn by the Shell station)

Thanks for post the International 12 17 Youth Class Video. My grandaughter Jordan and
Fear Or No Fear were the winners. Watch for them on Sunday night at the Celebration
in the 12--14 Youth Class.

Ritz a Roo thanks for posting that picture of Lane. His grandmother told me that he is showing 2 horses at the Celebration. She's mighty excited and proud
I can remember when his daddy was that age and he had just started showing. His first show was on a Delight mare that Jack Morgan owned - and I can't think of her name. MM probably remembers. And then he showed The Grey Gelding for Peggy Mervine. He was quite the cowboy!

Bubbadog, glad you mentioned Peggy Mervine, she's back in the ring again and looks like she's having a wonderful time!

Lane and his parents were with a group from our barn at the PBR (Nashville) last week-end. Amy said Lane knew every rider and loved PBR. Many walking horse folks are PBR enthusiasts. I know of 2 trainers who currently co-own bulls. I'm going to see some of the yooung 'uns in a "Mutton Busting" Friday night in Shelbyville since I'll be up there to help decorate the barn on the grounds on Saturday.

MM - Rhea Ellen posted a video of Lane roping a calf on her facebook page. He's pretty good at it. Billie Sue says that he wants to ride bulls when he grows up!
I thought of the name of Jack Morgan's mare - Delight's Merry Widow.
Who does Peggy have horses with now?
