I fell in love with the Tennessee Walking Horse when I was a teenager in the early 60's. We went to a relative's wedding in South Carolina. We visited with a relative, Herbert Stackhouse, owner of Po Boy Farms. I believer we were in Marion, SC or possibly Florence, SC. First he let me try a mare names Sassy Sue. I must have looked good on her because I am the only female who was ever allowed to ride his stallion Night Air. That was one awesome horse. He asked me to show the horse, but I lived in Virginia. I still feel the same thrill when I ride my Walking Horses today. Does anyone remember him or have pictures? It would mean a great deal to me. | |

| The one I am referencing is Pal-O-Mine Farm of Triadelphia, West Virginia owned by Miss E.J. Flaccus. I believe there may have been several over the years. | |

| Answer: "Brazilian president, Eurico Gaspar Dutra, visited Vanderbilt and Nashville during an official trip to the United States. During his visit in May 1949, Dutra was named honorary chairman of the Vanderbilt Institute for Brazilian Studies. In addition, Vanderbilt alumni gave Dutra a Tennessee walking horse, according to Vanderbilt Magazine." | |

| I remember Reve being stolen, but didn't know about the star/burning incident. Turn me the guy is still in prison for that! How cruel. | |

| I believe the guy did spend some time behind bars. I'm thinking that must have happened when Geri Rutheford owned him in Ohio or possibly even before that. (?) I was around him a lot, but don't remember a scar. Judging from these photos though, it does appear he had one. He was one of the very best, in my opinion. | |
