Bubbadog and Hill, I hope you have a great time. A couple of weeks ago, a group of Home Ec. majors from our MTSU years got together. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone, especially one of my roommates who actually introduced my hubby and me. I know you will have a wonderful time sharing memories and making new ones.

Hey, thanks for the invitation. It sounds intriguing and I would say yes, but a little voice in the back of my head says, "don't even think about it"...... .......So, I'll wait with great anticipation for the tape to be played on America's Most Wanted! There's nothing like a good reunion with old friends. Y'all have a great time and remember to just set the recorder on auto.

Smitty...I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy the "Time Machine" weeks. I especially enjoy seeing the horses and riders that have won classes at the Celebration. l think it is great that you are posting all the winners and the judge's cards from every class...LOVE being able to see those judge's cards!! They are very revealing and the results are something I had totally forgotten about! Love The Jukebox for these weeks too...always surprising to realize that it was THAT long ago! Since one of my hobbies is researching Rock and Roll music; these weeks are especially enjoyable. I enjoy the old articles on some of the greats in the breed and stories of their owners; they are enjoyable and informative reads that always bring back good memories. I know that I speak for more than myself when I say that I appreciate all the time and hard work you have dedicated to this site. You have given us all a comfortable place to come and spend our time! Thank You for a Great Job!!!

All Championship class winners in 1971 received the board game version of THE DATING GAME. Below is an enlarged copy of that game. I wonder if anyone still has theirs? I also wonder how that game works????:scratch:

Another horse I'm familiar with from the show results above is "King Oak's Go Boy" who won the 15.2 & Under Amateur class with Kay Davis riding. Several years later this horse was purchased by Jim Pullins of Berea, Ky. for his daughter, Lee Ann to show in juvenile classes. Can't recall who trained it (maybe Neil Kavanaugh?) but I used to show against this horse quite frequently, and I usually came up on the losing end of the stick!

Lee Ann was a lot purtier than I wuz!

You won't see anything like this in the Voice these days. I can relate to this pretty well.
It captures the spirit of the Celebrations of the past.

Im sure some of you will remember this cartoon from years ago. I'll venture to say it's probably one of the more well-known TWH cartoons of all time.
