| Man n blak & Deltaboy, Mabron Magnusson was from Athens Al & was a cousin of Sonny Holt. While at Milky Way he held auctions, stood Suns Rocket Go Boy & Kenny Womble started colts for him. They had them in the colt barn, all but the foundation is now gone, it had 98 stables on one hall. Magnusson had sales in different places & mebbe more than one dispersal sale. | |

| SB,
I'm pretty sure that Mr. Magnusson held several dispersal sales. Can you or anyone identify the auctioneers in the three auction stand pictures above?
Dr. Owen was indeed a "world authority" in equine medicine. He was a founder & 2nd president of the American Assn. of Equine Practioners, lead conformation inspector for the Keeneland yearling sales, advisor to the Queen of England, noted author of books & videos on conformation, & mentor to many young vets including Johnny Haffner [MTSU] & Monty McInturff [Tenn. Equine Hosp.].

| DB, didn't Dr. Owen have a daughter? I remember a girl at MTSU that I thought was his daughter but I could be mistaken....won't be the first or last time for that. | |

| I've been wanting to know more about Claude Brown for a long time. Before my time, but as I understand, he was quite a character and businessman. I'd love to hear an announcer say "Triple Lasso" three times................... :silent: | |

| I was at the Montgomery Southern Championship show with Bubbadog's daddy and Huck Moss was down there showing his mare Miss Rhythym. Claude Brown saw her and wanted to buy her but Martin wasn't too keen on selling her. While they were talking Martin said that he probably needed to sell something because he had too many horses. Claude asked him how many he had and Martin said about twelve. Claude said come here I want to show you something, and we walked over to his big black Caddy and he opened the trunk. The whole trunk of his car was filled with horse registration papers and he said "All of these horses are alive and I own them." | |

| coincidentally, there was discussion on another list about F88 horse's and how this one person wouldn't own a horse with that in their pedigree because she felt they were mean. It seems kind of far back to me to truly affect temperament. What do you think? | |
