I may have asked this question before......not sure. Believe it or not, this movie was made even earlier the Autry/Champion movies. It was not a Hollywood type of movie, but rather a documentary of sorts about gaited horses, if I'm not mistaken.
It featured a prominent horse from middle Tennessee.

Merry Boy's F-88 is CORRECT!



Merry Boy's F-88 was foaled at the farm of George Williams near Jackson, Tennessee. He was also the last owner of the famed Merry Boy. A family that worked for Mr. Williams had just purchased a new F-88 Oldsmobile and their young daughter named the horse after the car. I have read that this was a concept car and only several were produced. (?)

Who was the first Director of the "Tennessee Walking Horse Association" ?

This would have been in the mid-30's. The Tennessee Walking Horse Association was the precursor to the TWHBEA, if I'm not mistaken. (?) I'm thinking this person had a brother or close relative who was very well known in the early days as well. (?)

Yes, but this source says Director, not President and calls the Association "The TWH Association".....not Breeders.
The guys name was Newt Orr.............I'm thinking maybe he was the brother or some other relation to Gilbert Orr possibly. Don't really know much more about this.
